The units can be installed by anyone with DIY knowledge and is mounted on the wall by simply drilling two holes (200mm diameter) from the interior (up to 500mm long). There is no need to gain access to the outside of the building and this is particularly important where the units are being installed, for example, in a high storey apartment block.

Other than a drill and core bit (which are both easily hired), all of the other parts required for the installation are provided. The only power source needed is a standard 13 amp electrical supply.
