air handling units pdf

SKM Air Handling Units are designed to a high engineering standard to provide the requirements of ventilation, heating, cooling, de-humidification and air distribution to a conditioned space. Units are manufactured in a facility registered to ISO 9001:2008 manufacturing quality standard. Coil performance is certified in accordance with AHRI-410 Standards. SKM Air Handling Units are applicable for indoor and outdoor installation and they are ideal for large halls, schools, offices, banks, workshops, laboratories, restaurants, cinemas, hospitals, departmental stores, mosques and super markets, etc. SKM manufacturing Air Handling units in three different series, Modular Air Handling Units (MAH), Hygienic Modular Air Handling units (HMAH) and Comfort Air Handling Units (CAH). Modular Air Handling Units (MAH) Modular Air Handling Units (MAH) manufactured in modular sections and can be provided with a whole range of standard components, in many different configurations.
Units can be supplied with a whole range of panel configuration to suit every application. Different sectional arrangements and fan discharge positions are possible depending on the site constraints and requirements. MAH units are with thermal break system applied for both panels and frames. MAH Units are available in 25 models to deliver from 1000 cfm (472 l/s) to 60 000 cfm (28318 l/s) nominal air flow rate against total static pressure up to 8.0 inWG (2 000 Pa).split unit ac power consumption Certification for MAH Series :clearance window ac units Certified by EUROVENT (Certification No. 05.01.286) according to standards EN1886 & EN13053.lg room air conditioner problems Certified in accordance with AHRI 430 standard for fan performance.

HMAH Units are available in 21 models to deliver from 1000 cfm (472 l/s) to 42500 cfm (20058 l/s) nominal air flow rate against total static pressure up to 8.0 inwg (2000 Pa). SKM hygienic AHU's are tested and certified by TÜV SÜD Germany according to DIN 1946-4 and VDI 6022 standards. Latest Catalogue Bulletin No.: 097/2015 A Comfort Air Handling Units (CAH) SKM CAH Series Air Handling Unit, designed for indoor installation, compact and rigid in construction, completely factory assembled and offer easy site handling and maintenance, minimum installation time and labor expense.
CAH units are economic solution for most applications, available in both horizontal (HCAH) & Vertical (VCAH) and also available in Modular construction (HCAH-A & HCAH-2A). CAH series, available in 15 sizes, cover the range of 900 - 20000 cfm (425 - 9440 l/s) nominal air flow rate and total static pressure up to 5.0"wg (1250 Pa). Latest Catalogue Bulletin No.: 019/2014 A Performance experiment of all fresh air-handling unit with high sub-cooling degree and year-round exergy analysis Zhongbin Zhang, Yamei Pan, Hu Huang & Qing Jiang In this article, an all fresh air-handling unit with high sub-cooling degree is presented. In this unit, refrigerant flows through the high-pressure liquid receiver before it goes through the sub-cooler so as to ensure sufficient sub-cooling degree. Based on the experimental comparison between this unit and conventional unit, coupling relationships between condensing temperatures and sub-cooling degrees of these two units are worked out and analyzed.
Experimental results and exergy analysis show that, sub-cooling degree drops with the decrease of condensing temperature, and sub-cooling degree of the designed unit is kept over 7°C when the sub-cooling degree of the conventional unit is only close to 0°C. Furthermore, a method of year-round exergy calculation is presented and applied in calculating and analyzing the year-round exergy of the all fresh air-handling unit. Calculation and analysis show that the all fresh air-handling unit designed and investigated in this article has a year-round exergy efficiency of 28.38%, which is 3.17% higher than that of the conventional unit without high sub-cooling degree.Air handling unit (often abbreviated to AHU), is a device used to condition and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. Usually, an air handler is a large metal box containing a blower, heating and/or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers. Air handlers usually connect to ductwork that distributes the conditioned air through the building, and returns it to the AHU.
Sometimes AHUs discharge (supply) and admit (return) air directly to and from the space served, without ductwork.Small air handling units, for local use, are called terminal units, and may only include an air filter, coil, and blower; A larger air handling unit that conditions 100% outside air, and no recirculated air, is known as a makeup air unit (MAU). An air handling unit designed for outdoor use, typically on roofs, is known as a packaged unit (PU) or rooftop unit (RTU).
