carrier central ac unit reviews

Often same day appointments are available “Thank you so much Ian for bringing your amazing knowledge of all things heater-related today.” “Paul Schneidewind recently came for the pre-winter check, and did a professional and helpful job as always.” “When I called Atlas and explained our specific needs, I was connected with Bob Tuck, the owner.” Had a new furnace installed in 2009, had to have serviceman come out in 11/2010 to get it to come on, then they were out again in 10/2012, then 11/2014 and now 9/2016, it's the control board, the installer said they had to sell Bryant for a year (not sure why), and then they quit selling, he said it's a bad design, he didn't like, said blower blows right on computer board, it costs about $500 for the part, I called Bryant, got a customer service... Had Bryant unit for 11 years. Had capacitor changed out 2 coil leaks and loads of freon. I have never spent so much money on a AC unit. Our 3 year old system broke last week.
Repair man came out (same company who installed it when the house was built) and told us it was a coil leak. Parts are under warranty but we were quoted $1400 for just labor. Having the unit break after only 3 years of light use is unacceptable. Charging me high labor costs after knowing there are documented cases of faulty qoils seems unethical. I understand things break, but your clients shouldn't have to... I purchased a Bryant air conditioner/ heat pump in May of 2011. This system cost me $9,000 (system plus installation). In June of 2016 the capacitator needed to be replaced. In August of 2016 the air conditioning shut down altogether. The N-coil had sprung a very bad leak; all of the refrigerant was lost. The HVAC tech told me it would cost $900 dollars to reinstall the N-coil and refill the system with refrigerant (Carrier-Bryant did pay for... Bought new HVAC unit in August 2014. Have had two air handler motors fail. Now the Air handler coil is leaking refrigerant and the local dealer cannot get repair parts.
Called Bryant "Consumer Relations" (1-800-227-7437). They told me it is up to me to "keep calling" the local dealer to get a response. Then the "Senior Advisor' just blew me off! The AC is not working, it is 90 degrees F in the house and Bryant reps will do nothing, going on two... Stay away from Bryant. They do not stand behind their products. We have their "Flagship" Evolution system. We have had nothing but problems with it. Compressor replaced 2 times, Variable Speed Fan replaced, Circuit board in the heat pump replaced, FXV replaced, High flow valve replaced. These are just the major repairs. There have been many minor repairs over the years. BTW Flagship = triple the normal price. The replacement thermostat is $900.... Had a brand new Bryant Unit installed. Worked great for about a year. Three weeks out of the one year warranty the compressor. Now I am sitting in humid 90 degree Florida heat waiting for a replacement part, and will be out a few hundred bucks. Compressors should last many years, not a year.
Not cool at all. Have to take two days of work to deal with this issue. how an hvac compressor worksThings are just not made like they used to be anymore. my car is blowing hot air from ac Had air conditioner and heater installed and within 1 year the system had two leaks, now not working. thaw out ac unitBryant refuses to deal with the issue. Bryant refuses to take responsibility for selling defective system. In the first month, the compressor failed. A new compressor was installed and within one year both the inside and outside units were completely empty. Since air conditioner unit was installed in late fall, there was no need to run it;... We called Bryant air out on a holiday cause our air quit working. Needless to say what a rip off.
Told us our unit was out of freon . Said it would cost 1000 to charge it. Them proceeded to try and tell us they don't make our unit anymore that we needed a new one and that the coil was leaking. Gave us an estimate for 6500 to 8000. We however paid for service call and got a second opinion. Turns out our unit was only 1 pound low on freon. Bryant HVAC installed a Carrier AC unit. Bryant charged me $8056 for a $3269 unit did not need a gouge when being retired will not use them again. Contract noted that they would clean up afterwards, bryant left the old unit in my driveway, had to make an appointment to have it removed. Bad company to do business with. All though the work was done right, it was still to much for a holiday weekend. the work was performed 5/28/2016 saturday.
