Air Conditioner Heat Pump Parts Age 18-24 25-34 35-44 45-54 55-64 65 and older Gender Male Female I bought this single room unit, since I don't have A/C in my room. Paid 142 for it, which including taxes and free shipping. Piece of cake to install, and it will freeze you out. The remote is very nice and convenient, although I rarely use it. It also has a digital control and thermostat to turn on and off in the desired temperature range. Another nice feature I haven't used yet is a delay up to 24 hours, so you could have the A/C turn on let's say about an hour before coming home and have the room nice and cool without having to have run the A/C all day. This unit was the same price as other no name brand A/C units for the same size, 5200 BTUs. Comes with a one year warranty. I know GE will make good on it, with their reputation, if there are any problems. For the price it freezes me out of my room. It was 86 degrees when we installed it and went to 76 degrees in a matter of minutes. In fact it's soooo cold I have to turn it OFF sometimes just to warm up in this 90+ degree heat and humidity we have here in East Texas. I highly recommend this air conditioner for a 12 x 12 x 8ft high room. I sleep so comfortably now. The price of $146 was excellent. I had a GE 5000 btu before this that cost $99 and it lasted 7 years if you want an idea of how good these air conditioners are. Sure, you're going to get your lemons and people that complain about the noise if it is a decible above 0, but this air conditioner is really quiet to me but, overall I think GE is the best way to go. They cool as expected for small rooms.....and quiet. Sadly, the delivery service was careless, as boxes were quite damaged. Some of those tiny, thin cooling fins on the back of any window A/C unit were crushed and bent together. It is just something that was, sort of reshaped with a small bladed screw driver. Walmart.......your delivery service lacks integrity. You could hear the guy getting the units off his truck.....things banging n making noise......from the street.
