The goal is an efficient and effective support of the maintenance of HVAC systems to detect and locate faults that may reduce energy efficiency, user comfort, or system lifetime. The nodes of the HFM model have a one-to-one relationship with HVAC system components and related building entities. The nodes are connected by arcs that model the flows in the HVAC systems, e.g., air, water, and information flows. The functionality of the nodes includes state variable estimations and failure rule evaluations. The failure rule outputs can be fed to an associative network based diagnosis engine to locate the faults. Since HFM nodes are instances of generic classes derived from small libraries, HVAC FDD systems can be automatically generated. The simulation result has shown the effectiveness of a proposed FDD approach and two software prototypes demonstrating the reduced engineering effort of fault detection for a small bank HVAC system. For HVAC Contractors Only For Professional HVAC Contractors, we have an alternative installation process available.

This method is best for most Contractors, but requires professional-level understanding of the HVAC system. Pro Installation Manual (PDF) Contractors can make their contact information available to homeowners within the Sensi app. This way, contractor information will be readily available to a homeowner when it’s needed. Contact our Strategic Partner: Darley DefenseThe major difference between our competitors and Waibel Energy Systems is our ability to offer BuildingLogiX (BLX), a powerful building automation system, to our customers.

BLX provides the means to connect a building’s HVAC, lighting, energy management, and security systems and other business information software including, but not limited to, facility operation databases. BLX helps occupants realize desired increases in comfort, productivity and efficiency. Bringing this information into one system increases the power and effectiveness of allocating financial resources. The BLX suite is built on the proven technology and power of the Niagara AX Platform. BLX takes this open web-based operating system to a different level to provide web-services that create operational dashboards, system diagnostics, and predictive modeling for maximum equipment and building performance analysis. BLX is also compatible with nearly all HVAC Control Manufacturers systems. The most important services that the BLX system provides to a building owner/operator are real-time energy analysis and energy savings. The owner/operator can track energy usage instantly by zone or by specific equipment, providing more awareness of and control over energy costs.
